Olive Mackintosh-Lowe

Olive is an English Literature and Language Tutor who works with pupils from KS2 to GCSE to help develop her student's skill and confidence in their reading and writing abilities. Using a learning programme specifically tailored to each pupil, Olive prepares her students for the range of assessments they face at primary and secondary school level.

Olive understands how stressful pupils can find their assessment periods but believes each student has the ability to meet their individual goals when given the learning tools and level of support that suit them.

Olive has worked with pupils in a range of contexts from one-on-one tutoring sessions as a Consultant Tutor at J.K. Educate to larger group workshops in London-based schools and community centres. Olive not only aims to improve her pupils academic abilities but their enjoyment of reading and writing. She continues to learn new ways to engage and enliven young readers and writers in her voluntary role as a Writing Mentor at the Ministry of Stories in Hoxton as well as in her own work as a freelance Creative Writing Workshop Leader.

Outside of teaching, Olive is an experienced writer having previously held the role of Literary Editor at online webzine bunniebuzz.com. Olive is currently working on her first novel as well as a portfolio of short stories and has already enjoyed some success in this field having had her own short fictions published in London's smaller literary publications.

Olive holds a degree in English Literature and Linguistic Science from the University of York.

Louise Flores

My son has been taking piano and guitar lessons for more than a year. He loves his teachers and I can tell that they really care about my kid too. Your music school is wonderful and I highly recommend.

I am most grateful that my son's guitar teacher not only makes learning fun and shares his knowledge, but his passion for music as well. I could not have found a better place for him to learn guitar.
