Meltem Ilkan received her B.A. (Hons.) degree in Translation and Interpretation from Eastern Mediterranean University. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Meltem followed her passion for English language teaching and she did a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) course at St. John’s University in New York City. She was then awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in TESL at The Pennsylvania State University. After her graduation, Meltem worked as an ESL Teacher at a private primary school for 2 years while also teaching at a local cancer charity as a volunteer ESL instructor. Since moving to the United Kingdom in January 2015, she has worked as an ESL Lecturer at Glasgow Kelvin College teaching Further Education learners and has taught young ESL learners for International Quest at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. She currently lives in London and works for London School of Arts Academy as an ESL Teacher and the Education Department Manager.

James Robertson

James is from Essex, close to London and he has a degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield.  James has a CELTA teaching qualification and spent three years in the Czech Republic living and working as an English teacher and has undertaken a variety of educational roles in the UK, working at summer camps and also preparing students for their exams.  In his classes he aims to foster a friendly atmosphere and he excels in teaching innovative and vibrant lessons, which make use of interactive technology.  In his spare time, James enjoys playing his guitar and editing videos.

Nilgun Ardal

Enthusiastic, active and dedicated individual, highly motivated, and demonstrating initiative and energetic in my work with children. Experience gained from a variety of educational
settings that provided opportunity to develop teaching abilities. Relevant childcare experience involvement in a range of children’s educational and play activities. Able to build trusting relationships with children and adults alike, providing a safe and secure environment. Keen and ambitious learner, who is hard working and enjoys being part of a team, is looking for opportunity to further career and skills. Nilgun has worked in various different schools as a Maths Teacher and taught KS1, KS2 and KS3 levels. She has worked with Student Associated Scheme (SAS), Highfield primary school, Southgate College, Final and Best Tutor.

Afroditi Goulioumi

Aphrodite has  a Bachelors Degree in English Language & Literature and has been working as an English teacher for eleven years in language schools in Greece,Italy and the UK; including experience as an oral examiner/invigilator(Cambridge ESOL)and she has enjoyed the experience greatly. Teaching is her passion and  she has obtained a CELTYL certificate,a certificate of Practical Methodology from Cambridge ESOL and ADVANCED DIPLOMA in TESOL, while having attended numerous English Language Teaching seminars and specialised seminars for young learners and adults. She is familiar with the national curriculum in the UK and has knowledge of Key Stages.

Angelina Koleva

Angelina has completed her high school education in Haskovo Bulgaria where she studied in a selective school for maths bright students namely High School of Maths and Natural Sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Science upper second class degree from Birkbeck, University of London obtained in 2009. Angelina holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Mathematics from University of East London. Angelina has four years teaching experience in schools in London among which outstanding schools such as Fortismere School and Ashmole Academy.

Ozlem Akgun

Ozlem has pursued a chemical engineering degree with a First Class from Ege University in Turkey and spent her final year as an exchange student at Karlsruhe University in Germany. The following year, she completed an MSc in chemical process engineering with Distinction from UCL. She later on completed her PhD in chemical process engineering, funded by the Centre for Process Systems Engineering (CPSE) which is a joint centre between UCL and Imperial College. During her PhD, she has taught different engineering modules to undergraduates. She has also done private tutoring for chemistry, physics and maths for most levels including A levels. Ozlem has always had a strong interest in teaching and been passionate about helping students achieve their goals. She is now enjoying teaching and helping her students at London School of Arts.
