Emre Gokalp

Emre Gökalp began to study classical guitar with Ahmet Kanneci at 8 years old. He began participating in master classes from the age of 10, and winning prizes in international competitions from the age of 11.

Since 1998, Emre has benefited from master classes offered in guitar festivals given by internationally famous virtuosos and pedagogues such as Alirio Diaz, David Russell, Fabio Zanon, Julian Byzantine, Tilman Hoppstock, Gary Ryan, Pavel Steidel, Carlos Bonell, Gerald Reichenbach, Javier Garcia Moreno, David Martinez Garcia, Takeshi Tezuka and Hiroki Terashima.

Emre's prizes include 1st prize in the Second Classical Guitar Competition in Orleans, France in 1999, 2nd prize in the Third Antonio Lauro Classical Guitar Competition in Ankara, Turkey in 2000, 3rd prize in the Eighth International Festival and Competition for Classical Guitar Interpretation in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 2001, 1st prize in the First Balkan Festival and Competition of the Classical Guitar in Velingrad, Bulgaria in 2002 and 1st Prize in "1st International Guitar Competition Paris Guitar Foundation" in 2016.

Following these early successes, Emre was accepted into the Bachelor of Arts (Music) Degree programme at Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory to continue and consolidate his studies. During the 2008-9 academic year he took leave to go to London, where he took private classical guitar lessons from Professor Michael Lewin, head of the Guitar Department of the Royal Academy of Music, for 5 months. Professor Lewin then invited him to attend his masterclasses in Scandiano, Italy, where he also had the opportunity to take further classes from him as well as to perform in concerts.

On returning to Ankara State Conservatory, in the 2010-11 academic year Emre travelled with the Erasmus Student Exchange Program to the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid in Spain, where he studied classical guitar with Miguel Trápaga for 6 months. He then returned again to Ankara and graduated with a BA degree in June 2011.

Thanks to his successful application and scholarship from the Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation, Emre has graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, Master of Arts programme with DipRAM and Frank Britton Prize. Between the academic year of 2012 - 2014 , he had the opportunity to perform with some wonderful musicians including;  Srdjan Bulat, Nazrin Rashidova, Christine Buras, Joseph Havlat.

Since 1998, Emre has performed in various places such as; United Kingdom, USA, Spain, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Armenia, Turkey.  His most recent performaces include Machynlleth Music Festival, Wales to which he was invited by the great pianist Julius Drake who was the artistic director of the festival and HASS Fest 2016 in Yerevan, Armenia.

TEZEL AHMET

Tezel has been playing  guitar for about 20 odd years he started his music carrier in Cyprus,
Where he has played in various rock bands, he is also a composer and a songwriter.
After he moved to the UK he joined the London Collage of Music specializing in Acoustic Guitar popular music after he got his teaching degree he joined the RGT Electric guitar grade exams and passed with distinction.
He is an experienced tutor where he has taught in many music schools around London also he is experienced in teaching RGT Grade exams .
He is now working full time in London School of Arts.

VEZHDI HALIM BEKIR

Vezhdi’s talent for music was discoved by his sister’s music teacher . Vezhdi started to practice music at age 5, joined piano and keyboard lessons for the next five years. He was living in Tekirdağ / Çorlu until 2002 and then he joined Music Talent Exam and he was accepted to Eskisehir Music High School . He learned to play ‘Viola’  ‘Piano’ and also learned about ‘music theory’ ‘music history’ ‘turkish music history’ during these 4 years of  high school period . After Music High School Vezhdi continued with his music life in Canakkale Onsekizmart University Department of Music to become music Teacher, (2006 – 2010). During his study in Canakkale Onsekizmart University he attended many Viola, Piano, Choir concerts in Turkey and also in Greece, Serbia – Montenegro, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. After 4 succesful years in Canakkale Onsekizmart University Vezhdi graduated and became a Music Teacher. In 2011 Vezhdi moved to London to learn English, to get new work experience and also to do Master in Musical Harmony.

JAMES QUINN

James is an RGT registered guitar teacher who holds a DipHe in Popular Music Performance, gained at the University of West London in 1997.

He began playing guitar on leaving school in the mid 1980's and after two years of practice and with the aid of a teacher joined his first group “Bombchild”, a heavy rock outfit based in Hertfordshire.
After several years of songwriting and performing, working in professional recording studios and with top producers in the industry, the band broke up and James decided to study more varied styles of music to improve his level of musicality.

So, he enrolled at the Guitar Institute affiliated to the University of West London. After graduating in 1997, he began teaching guitar and became involved in varied musical projects including performing on gigs throughout Europe and recording with members of the goth legends “Fields of the Nephilim”.

He now spends his time as a full-time guitar teacher and working on his own musical projects.

ANDY CONSTANTINOU

A highly devoted and skilled guitarist, composer and tutor possessing an abundance of theoretical/technical fluency, specifically within modern rock techniques alongside a wealth of contemporary style proficiency including blues, jazz, fusion and classical.


Taught by some of the UK’s top musicians, Andy was awarded the best overall guitarist by John Wheatcroft at the end of a 3 year performance degree at Tech Music School, graduated with 1st hons followed by a music MA at Kingston University.

With 12+ years of study and performing experience, acquired knowledge and confidence has proved successful tutoring students of various ages since 2010, including graded exam preparations from Trinity, ABRSM to the Rock School module.

Possessing a keen focus specifically towards electric guitar, a wide range of instrument/equipment awareness has been amassed over the years leading to an increasing demand for product demonstration, currently for Bristol based company; Lindo Guitars.

Extra curricular activities include modern rock ensemble Delayed who have performed across the UK since 2011 and most notably, recorded two EP’s with renowned producer Romesh Dodangoda (Motorhead, Funeral For A Friend, The Blackout etc).

FATIH ASLAN

Fatih completed his primary, secondary and college education. He began playing the saz at the age of 10 and soon after leaving high school he joined Bursa Turkish music conservatory. In 2003 he successfully graduated from Bursa Uludag University, Music Education department. He worked as a music teacher in many government schools as well as private music schools. Between 2005 -2010 he has worked at Anadolu University as a Saz teacher.

During and after his studies he has participated in many concerts and music festivals nationally and internationally where he has worked with several national and international musicians. In 2013 he has represented Turkey, Anadolu music in WOMAD festival which is held every year to represent ethnic music styles from all over the world.

Fatih has been working at London School of Arts since 2011 as a Saz and Guitar teacher and also teaches music at Anglia Ruskin University.

RAUL GAGLIARDI

Raul Gagliardi is an experienced and creative jazz guitarist, composer and music tutor. During his career he acquired 15+ years of experience in teaching electric and acoustic guitar as well as ensemble music and jazz harmony to students from all levels and backgrounds.
After many years of independent study, Raul attended the B.Mus Jazz Music programme at Conservatorio Stanislao Giacomantonio in Cosenza (Italy) where he had the pleasure to be tutored by musicians of the likes of Lutte Berg, Lucio Ferrara, Davide Santorsola, Nicola Pisani and Roberto Spadoni. He also took part in various workshop with both italian and international artists such as: Umberto Fiorentino, Ramberto Ciammarughi, Micheal Rosen, Bebo Ferra and Roberto Taufic.
From 1998 to present, Raul has been performing in a number of different projects. For many of them, he has composed and arranged original compositions. From 1998 to 2003 he performed with Vinagre, an ethno-jazz project which resulted in an album of the same name. In 2004 he lent his talent to the recording session of the Mandara project's album "Alatùl". From 2009 to present, he has been involved in composing, arranging and performing his own original compositions with Amanita Trio, which were later conveyed into "Gente a Sud", a critically acclaimed album which is constantly exploring a synthesis between contemporary jazz and far-away roots. This line-up has performed all over Italy in venues and festivals such as Casa del Jazz (Rome) and Reggio in Jazz (Reggio Calabria).
Along his performing career, Raul has also gained experience in composing original music for theatre plays.
