Vaiva Tamosiunaitet

Vaiva has been building her professional career in music since she started studies at the Gymnasium of Music in Kaunas, Lithuania. Later she has proceeded to specialize in The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

Vaiva participated in Masterclasses for solo and chamber music, given by distinguished Professors including Augustinas Vasiliauskas ( Vilnius ), Petras Kunca ( Vilnius), Johannes Meissl ( Vienna), Piotr Tarcholik (Krakow).

After her graduation she has been playing violin in Musical Theatre for over two years and additionally worked as a violin and piano teacher.

Since 2014 Vaiva has been living in London. She plays regularly with a variety of orchestras including The Collaborative Orchestra and Singers, The Notting Hill Orchestra for Film Music.

Vaiva has over five years teaching experience in music schools, private tuition and workshops. In Her opinion, the goal of music education is not only to form an appreciation of the music of others, but also encourage children to shape their own unique musical identity, through academic study and performance opportunities. She has a great Interest in teaching and working with talented students from all age groups and abilities. She believes this is a role to which she could bring great value, exercising and broadening her music teaching experience and helping students develop their talents and passion for music.
