Master the Beat: Drumming Lessons at London School of Art

Welcome to the Rhythmic Journey at the London School of Arts!

London School of Art is an award-winning performing arts school that contracts professional, experienced tutors to work within the school. All instrument lessons are one-on-one and take place either on the school's premises or online. Lessons are available seven days a week, after school and on weekends.

Drum & Percussion Lessons

The Drum & Percussion Department at the London School of Art offers a structured and engaging way to learn drums.

We provide one-on-one lessons for drum set and hand percussion, allowing students to specialize in either. Our professional tutors are experts in each discipline, delivering coursework specifically designed to enhance students’ musical abilities.

At LSA, we encourage young students who are interested in music to take drumming lessons because it is not only great fun but also an excellent exercise for the brain. Scientific studies show that the rhythmic energy of drumming helps synchronize the left and right hemispheres of the brain, strengthening intuition and cognitive functions.

Drumming also contributes to physical development and fitness. It increases heart rate and blood flow, engaging the fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, arms, shoulders, and legs. As a result, drumming students tend to develop a deeper understanding of rhythm and body coordination.

Drum Grade Exams

We primarily work with the Rock School exam board, but we can also prepare students for Trinity exams upon request.

Grade exams require regular practice and strong parental involvement. Parents are responsible for encouraging and monitoring their child's practice at home. A minimum of 20 minutes, four times a week is required, with additional practice necessary as students progress to higher grades.
